MAXTRAX Mini
Short Description
MAXTRAX Mini was designed with smaller vehicles in-mind who may not have as much
room to carry or mount accessories, like UTVs, Subarus, and smaller crossover SUVs.
Made in Australia from the same UV-Stable, flexible, engineering-grade reinforced
nylon as full sized MAXTRAX, the Mini range provides versatility and recovery options
for every vehicle, no matter the size. Fourty-four reinforced nylon teeth have been

specifically arranged with smaller tire sizes in mind, including more aggressive open-
tread tire designs of UTVs. The MAXTRAX Mini nests neatly behind all MAXTRAX

recovery boards in one of three positions, lining up with the handles of MAXTRAX MKII,
XTREME, and Jaxbase to allow for easy transport. Warranted for life against faults in
materials and workmanship.
Dimensions:
25” long X 13” wide X 3.5” tall (inches)
Weight:
11 lbs with packaging and leashes (shipping weight)
5 lbs per individual Mini 10 lbs per SET of Mini
• Made of the same UV-Stable, flexible, engineering-grade reinforced nylon as full
sized MAXTRAX.
• Provides traction and solid base to quickly get your vehicle back on track.
• Perfect for UTVs smaller vans, Subarus and small SUVs
• Each Mini weighs just 5 pounds. They are easy to carry and thanks to its
signature double-edged design, positioning them under your tires is a breeze.
• Two comfortable built-in handles and a shovel at either end means you can
quickly remove debris.
• They also have exclusive keyhole points to allow you to securely mount your
MAXTRAX with our Mounting Pins.
• Size: 3/5 the size of full sized MAXTRAX MKII, Mini’s nest neatly behind the MKII
in one of the three handle positions.
When using our Fixing and Linking Kit the Minis can be extended in length.
MAXTRAX XTREME
MAXTRAX XTREME - the world's best 4WD recovery tracks just got
better!
• Multi-award-winning MAXTRAX XTREME is the most advanced 4WD recovery
track ever created, featuring 88 replaceable hard-anodized alloy teeth molded
into a heavy-duty, super-tough, engineering-grade reinforced Nylon recovery
track. MAXTRAX XTREME is designed and manufactured for professional use

based on direct feedback from some of the world's most elite military units, off-
road racing champions, certified 4WD driver trainers and globe-trotting

expedition leaders as a mission-critical recovery track for a wide range of
scenarios where time is of the essence and aggressive driving and excessive
wheel spin is often unavoidable, including active combat situations, timed
motorsport competitions and remote area expeditions.
• MAXTRAX XTREME is manufactured in Australia using our secret formula; a
heavy-duty, super-tough, engineering-grade reinforced Nylon; the same amazing
material that we’ve made MAXTRAX MKII from for almost a decade. The
manufacturing process involves a custom jig attached to a robotic arm inserting
the 88 alloy teeth in the correct orientation into special sockets in the injection
mold, then over-molded into the body of the track, ensuring that the Nylon
material conforms closely to the thread of each tooth for a super-secure fit,
virtually eliminating the risk of a tooth unwinding from the body of the track. All
88 alloy teeth are hard-anodized to protect against corrosion in harsh, saltwater
or muddy environments.
• As the alloy is significantly harder and more durable than the rubber compound
found in tires and also more resistant to wear from a spinning tire than any
polymer available today, you can expect faster, more secure engagement with

the tires tread pattern; which not only makes MAXTRAX XTREME the most-
durable recovery track on the market, but also the fastest.

• MAXTRAX XTREME is also easily repairable in the field. If a tooth gets damaged,
simply flip the board over and use a T-50 Torx bit to remove and replace the
damaged tooth. MAXTRAX XTREME uses a proprietary and patent-pending
thread & bliplock system to ensure secure physical engagement of a new tooth
with its recess after replacement. Replacement teeth and a custom T-head tool
which also works with our mounting pins are available.
• MAXTRAX XTREME will nest with MAXTRAX MKII recovery tracks, (there is a
slightly larger space between the tracks due to the design of the underside of
the MAXTRAX XTREME).
• Mounting pins designed exclusively for the XTREME are available, including a
hybrid mounting pin designed for those adding a set of MAXTRAX XTREME to
the top of their current MKII recovery tracks.
• MAXTRAX XTREME is also compatible with MAXTRAX mini and our fixing and
linking kit to create a portable roadway.
About MAXTRAX:
Brad McCarthy, author of Dirty Weekends “The Essential 4WD Guides”, devised the idea for
MAXTRAX in 2001 after a particularly stressful incident on a remote north Queensland beach
where he almost lost his bogged vehicle to the incoming tide, despite being equipped with all
of the traditional recovery equipment. Brad’s passion for the Australian bush, exploration and
adventure sent him out, often solo throughout Queensland, to research bush tracks and
locations to feature in his guide books. From his experiences, Brad recognized the need for a
system that makes vehicle recovery and extraction a safe, simple, one-person task and
eliminates the need for any outside assistance such as towing, snatching, or winching.
MAXTRAX came from Brad’s idea to develop a foolproof and fail-safe quality Australian made

product to make extracting or recovering a stranded or bogged vehicle a safe, simple, quick
and easy procedure. Due to Brad’s experience, ingenuity and “hands-on” research, the idea of
an alternative and innovative vehicle recovery device that was safe, simple, quick and easy to
use eventually came to fruition in the form of MAXTRAX.
We tested several types and grades of super tough nylons to create a lightweight, yet durable
product that provides superior performance with our focus on the key issues of strength,
effectiveness, usability and aesthetics. MAXTRAX was trialled countless times using typical
(and not so typical) bogging scenarios and after many late nights and product refinements,
MAXTRAX was ready to launch onto the Australian 4WD accessories market in late 2005. Not
long after, MAXTRAX won Australian 4WD Monthly Magazine’s award for Best New Product
under $500. Since then MAXTRAX have been discovered by 4WD adventurers around the
world as the safe, simple, quick and easy method of vehicle recovery. MAXTRAX are now
widely available around the world in over 30 countries including the USA, Chile, South Africa,
Egypt, France, England, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and UAE, to name just a few.
Our customers now include mining, energy and exploration companies, government agencies,
4WD trainers and tour operators, lifeguard services, rural fire services, State Emergency
Service branches, off road rally drivers, the Australian Army, US Defense Force and the United
Nations.
In November 2010, the new MAXTRAX MKII won 2 Global Media Awards for Best New Product
at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV, USA. Not a bad result for a 5-year-old ‘little Aussie
company’ on its first visit to SEMA!
At the 2018 SEMA Show, the MAXTRAX XTREME also won a Global Media Award.
MAXTRAX, the essential vehicle recovery device for anyone who enjoys life ‘off the beaten
track’.
